FEATURING ASIAN-INSPIRED DISHES, PANORAMIC CITY VIEWS FROM THE 56 FLOOR, ORIGINAL MURAL ARTWORK, AND SOON-TO-BECOME THE CITY’S MOST HIGHLY COVETED TABLE RESERVATION

Global hospitality company Tao Group Hospitality and Mexico’s top-tiered restaurant developer Dinar, celebrated the official opening of Ling Ling Mexico City last Wednesday evening with a chef-led, multi-course extravaganza for Mexico City’s tastemakers.

Ling Ling’s design combines its personality and energy with CDMX’s local identity and a versatile atmosphere that encourages guests to extend the dining experience beyond the typical restaurant outing.  Whether day or night, guests can relax and enjoy one of the most breathtaking views in the city. Visitors will discover how through vegetation and light, a space full of character and texture can morph from day to dusk to evening.

Filled with lush vegetation, triple height ceilings and theatrical lighting, Ling Ling’s Atrium is the true heart of the space, creating the perfect atmosphere for great moments to happen, from 56 floors above.

At the tail end of the Atrium, Ling Ling’s semi-private dining table can be found, rightfully named, Table Tres 60. Table Tres 60 accommodates up to 10 people offering 180-degree-plus views of the urban metropolis. The table is positioned within a unique corner of the restaurant and creates the feeling of ‘floating above the city’. Table Tres 60 is sure to become the most highly demanded table reservation in all of Mexico City.

The kilometer long Terraza, provides a romantic location for couples to celebrate intimate milestones while taking in a view of the city, which literally bleeds into the horizon.

Overlooking Ling Ling’s Atrium dining area is a larger-than-life original work-of-art mural hand painted by Mexican artist Paola Delfín. Named ‘Guardian of Nature’ and inspired by Xochitl the goddess of beauty, flowers and love, the mural represents the importance of diversity and a fusion of Asian and Mexican cultures. The main elements in the mural are agave and lotus flowers; plants of great importance both socially and spiritually for both cultures. These elements surround the main character, who is shown as a protector of nature, accompanying diners to enjoy this small natural oasis, in the middle of this bustling metropolis, Mexico City.

When ordering from the Ling Ling menu, guests enjoy a gastronomic experience inspired by Izakaya, a concept that became popular in the East, where food accompanies drinks, not the other way around. Ling Ling Mexico City’s menu features Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean influences, without leaving aside the Cantonese origins of Hakkasan that are present in every course. The menu includes small plates, robatayaki, dim sum, temaki, sashimi and nigiri, and a raw bar. Among main course highlights are Crispy Duck Breast with orange sauce, szechuan peppercorn, chinese sausage, braised cabbage, Ginger Glazed Scottish Salmon with eggplant, long beans, thai basil green curry, Jasmine Tea Smoked Short Rib with sweet glaze, pickled lotus root, and A5 Wagyu Sirloin Teppanyaki with wasabi-shiso chimichurri.

Located in one of the most emblematic areas of the city, Paseo de la Reforma, Ling Ling Mexico City can be found in the same building that houses Ritz-Carlton Mexico City, located just a few steps from the Diana Cazadora Fountain and the Angel of Independence. The restaurant offers 360-degree views from the top floor of a 58-story skyscraper.
