For the fifth consecutive year, Tao Group Hospitality Cares will participate in World Autism Awareness Month including sensory inclusion training for all employees and expanding the work-study programs for students with autism within Tao Group Hospitality venues. This is made possible through donations to charities like Eden II Programs, Autism Speaks and Kulture City.
In partnership with Kulture City, Tao Group Hospitality will become one of the first global hospitality groups to have sensory inclusive restaurants. Staff members at each venue have completed a training program regarding how to welcome and host guests with sensory needs. Additionally, each venue will have sensory inclusion packs (including headphones, a weighted blanket, visual feeling thermometer, fidget spinner, stress ball, and a KC VIP Lanyard) for families to borrow while they are dining in the venues.
Tao Group Hospitality Cares supports Breast Cancer Awareness month by donating 10% of proceeds from select food and beverage specials throughout the month of October to the American Cancer Society. Additionally, Tao Group Hospitality employees participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, and are the leading team with over 1,000 walkers each year.
Tao Group Hospitality Cares supports development for homeless youth through a partnership with the Covenant House in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and through the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth in Las Vegas. In an act of solidarity and support for the Covenant House, every year Tao Group Hospitality employees sleep outside so homeless youth don’t have to, raising funds for simple everyday needs in the shelter such as healthcare, meals, and career readiness training.
In an effort to promote mindfulness, Tao Group Hospitality Cares has curated a mindfulness menu that includes several mental wellness resources.
In addition to supporting the above company-wide programs, Tao Group Hospitality employees volunteer serving food, mentoring youth, and promoting animal adoption and wellness throughout the year.
