On Monday April 4, Tao Group Hospitality team members attended Kulture City’s inaugural HeroKulture Ball at TAO Downtown, celebrating autism inclusion and acceptance. The event, called the HeroKulture, was the first of its kind in New York City hosted by KultureCity— the nation’s leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities such as Autism.

The gala came at the beginning of Autism Inclusion Month. Tao Group Hospitality kicked off the month by announcing it is the first international restaurant group to train employees for sensory inclusion in all 24 of its restaurants throughout New York, California, Las Vegas, Chicago and the United Kingdom. To become certified, team members at each restaurant participated in sensory inclusion training and each venue is equipped with sensory bags available for individuals with sensory needs. Each restaurant is also featuring new, limited-edition blue specials to raise awareness and celebrate individuals living with autism and their families. Jason Isbell, 4-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and known autism acceptance advocate, delivered a powerful performance to the 330 attendees. The event was sponsored by Cincoro Tequila, and raised over $300,000 for KultureCity.
