Mooncakes at Yauatcha
August 28, 2024
Yauatcha Mooncakes are back for another year of festivities. As the second most significant calendar date in China after Chinese New Year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon or Mooncake Festival, holds a special place in many people’s hearts and is traditionally celebrated with family feasts in honour of the moon and a bountiful harvest. Yauatcha have marked this occasion with limited edition Mooncakes for many years.
For 2024, we have created three exclusive flavours, including our traditional Baked Egg Custard Mooncake; filled with a sweet Cantonese-style custard encased with a golden brown pastry crust.
An exclusive Snowskin Musang King Durian Mooncake is a limited edition flavour for this year. This mini treasure is crafted with a white snowskin dough and a Musang King Durian filling. This Malaysian fruit is sweet and savoury with hints of caramel, vanilla and almond, creating a vibrant flavour.
A Snowskin Earl Grey Mooncake is our third enchanting new flavour for this year. It is delicately created with soft snowskin dough, an Earl Grey filling and a white chocolate shell centre filled with mango cream to create a fragrant and subtly sweet flavour.
Our mooncakes are beautifully packaged in bespoke gift boxes; our classic box includes nine mooncakes across three round tiers that neatly stack together. Our luxury box also includes nine mooncakes across three round tiers in layers that fold out from a cylinder, with a fourth tier featuring three LED candles. The box is encased in a gold metal lid that becomes a candle holder when placing the candles inside, making it the perfect gift this Mid-Autumn Festival.
These petite treats are perfect for enjoying under the full moon and sharing with loved ones near and far. Yauatcha Mooncakes are available to order for delivery or collection and can also be enjoyed in our restaurants.
