Tao Downtown stands out as one of New Yorks most versatile venues. It can be seamlessly transformed to accommodate an array of events such as concerts, conferences, galas, dinners, film shoots, receptions, and more. Designed by Rockwell Group, TAO Downtown offers a distinct sense of arrival and discovery. The subterranean restaurant, located in the heart of Chelsea, is a gorgeous open space with high ceilings and our signature 20ft tall Quan Yin statue. It is one of the most dramatic dining rooms in New York City. The venue consists of two levels, the Main Dining Room and the Upper Level which includes the Skyboxes, Ink Bar, and the Reclining Buddha Lounge. Tao Group Events offers a comprehensive range of in-house production services. From A/V services to entertainment, décor, and talent sourcing, we have the expertise and resources to handle all production needs.

Positioned on opposite sides, these Skybox spaces provide an intimate atmosphere for patrons seeking a more secluded setting. The rooms’ exclusivity can be heightened by drawing a sheer curtain, adding an extra layer of privacy to enhance the dining experience.
